Mexican Art Museum in Chicago, Natalie Juarez, Blog2

 Hey guys,

I've learned lots of new material this past week, as well as used a lot of information from Washington week. I've completely fallen in love with my class. One of the activities we had consisted on making poetry from one of the art pieces in the museum. Younger students would make a story explaining what had taken place before the scene was captured or what is happening in the scene. I remembered the tips Emily had shared about interacting with children. As well as learned how

the children are shaped by their culture. Many of the students come from a Latino background. We spoke about historical events and the impact it had on art. The students are also working on a performances for the upcoming Friday. They know all the choreography and I am very excited to see them perform. We are finishing up their portfolios and have big plans for the upcoming week. I'll keep all of you posted about the performance and portfolios on the next blog. Hope everything is going great for each one of you.

Natalie Juarez
